The nurse is in the client's room when the severe infusion reaction begins at 0945. Place the following immediate nursing actions in the correct chronological sequence (from first/highest priority to last/lowest priority).

  1. Stop the rituximab infusion immediately.
  2. Activate the emergency response system and administer IM epinephrine promptly.
  3. Support the airway, provide oxygen and assisted ventilation as needed, and support circulation.
  4. Disconnect the implicated tubing and preserve IV access with new 0.9% Normal Saline tubing.
  5. Administer ordered adjunctive medications and update the oncology provider concurrently.
