easy · Volume Price Analysis vpa-core

How does the Volume at Price (VAP) histogram differ from traditional volume analysis?

  1. VAP measures the speed of price changes, whereas VPA measures total volume units.
  2. VAP is only used within the Forex market, where it can be applied to calculate approximate tick values.
  3. VAP is simply a lagging indicator that is derived from the moving average of prior volume bars over time.
  4. VAP displays volume horizontally at specific price levels, while traditional VPA is time-based.
