Temporal Fallacy
LSAT glossary · Law School Admission Test (LSAT)
Definition
Assuming that because one event occurred before another it caused the later event, without ruling out coincidence or a shared cause.
Temporal Fallacy in plain English
Earlier does not automatically mean causal. Look for a shared cause, coincidence, trend, or selection effect that could explain why the events appeared in that order.
