Fill the field

SAT Glossary

The grid-in precision rule: if a decimal runs past the available characters, truncate or round at the last slot you have — the examination wants the answer as precise as the box allows. For 2/3, both 2/3 and .6667 are correct but .67 is wrong because it is less accurate than the field permits; a fraction can never be under-precise, so enter the fraction when one fits.
