Linear-vs-exponential trap

SAT Glossary

Computing growth as simple rather than compound: 200(1+0.05· 3)=230 instead of 200(1.05)^3≈ 232. The same trap in percentages is adding 20% and 30% to get 150 instead of 100× 1.20× 1.30=156.
