Multi-Timeframe Analysis

Volume Spread Analysis Glossary

The VSA practice of reading the same instrument on three timeframes in coordination: weekly to identify the overall trend and current cycle phase (accumulation, mark-up, distribution, or mark-down), daily to identify signals and trade set-ups, and intraday to fine-tune entries and exits. Individual stocks often make more sense on the weekly chart, where the noise of daily fluctuations is smoothed out. Because markets are fractal, the same VSA logic applies identically at every timeframe.
