How does high rake (> 10bb/100) affect the construction of an RFI range from the Small Blind (SB)?

  1. It has no effect on RFI ranges, only on multi-street post-flop calling decisions.
  2. It devalues hands that win many small pots, such as small pairs and weak suited connectors, pushing the range toward 'raise-or-fold'.
  3. Rake is only taken at showdown, so RFI ranges should actually widen to take the pot down early. (under this line) (under this line) (under this line)
  4. It incentivizes wider limping to keep pots small and avoid reaching the rake cap.
