hard · U.S. Naturalization Test (2025 Standard) english

In Part 9 the officer asks whether you have ever been 'cited.' Two years ago you got a traffic ticket for speeding, paid the small fine, and had no court case.

How should you handle this at your interview?

  1. Say 'no,' since a paid speeding fine does not truly count as a citation.
  2. Disclose the ticket truthfully, even though it was minor.
  3. Mention it only if the officer brings up speeding first.
  4. Decline to answer because minor tickets are private matters.
