easy · Volume Profile Analysis profile-anatomy
When constructing a session Value Area (VA), the algorithm identifies a Point of Control (POC) with 5,000 contracts. The two-tick stack above the POC contains 3,200 contracts, while the two-tick stack below contains 2,800.
According to standard iterative expansion, what is the next step?
- Add both stacks simultaneously to maintain profile symmetry.
- Add only the single highest-volume tick from the upper stack.
- Reset the calculation if the stacks are within 15% of each other's volume.
- Add the upper two-tick stack to the Value Area and update the total volume.
