Product Push

Definition
A commissionable or proprietary solution offered as the first move when a process, free, or lower-conflict path exists.
Product Push in plain English
A lower-cost process fix or free employer option would solve the need, yet the first words out of someone's mouth are a commissionable proprietary product. Product Push is offering that commissionable or proprietary solution as the first move when a process, free, or lower-conflict path exists. A disclosed, managed conflict can still be workable; a hard prohibition such as borrowing from a non-family client is not cured by disclosure. On stems, prefer process and lower-conflict paths before the shiny product.
