Apply two filters in sequence and count only the final surviving set.
Dual-Constraint Sample Space Counting in plain English
Pull Dual-Constraint Sample Space Counting when two independent filters both shrink the sample space. Clues include Both conditions, two constraints, given that and also. Blueprint: Apply constraint A, then constraint B on the surviving set. Count the final cell. Why it beats the long way: Applying only one filter leaves an oversized denominator. Micro-example: Integers 1, 20 that are multiples of 3 and even: first keep multiples of 3 (3,6,9,ldots,18), then keep the even survivors (6,12,18) for 3 values. One filter alone leaves an oversized set.
