Align periods on a number line or LCM grid; read the combined on/off pattern from one repeating block. Checking day-by-day forever is unnecessary once the LCM block repeats. Mark both on and both off inside that block, then scale by how many blocks fit the asked window. Micro-example: light A blinks every 3 days, light B every 5 days. LCM = 15. Mark days 0 through 15 and read which days both blink, rather than scanning an endless calendar.
