Non-Linear Alternator in plain English
Pull Non-Linear Alternator when terms flip sign, take reciprocals, or swap rules on odd versus even indices. Clues include Alternating sign, (-1)^n, odd terms do X even terms do Y. Blueprint: Split odd and even lanes. Solve each lane alone, then pick the lane for the asked index. Why it beats the long way: One formula across both lanes mixes incompatible rules. Micro-example: Sequence a_n = (-1)^n n: a_1=-1, a_2=2, a_3=-3. Odd and even lanes follow different rules, so for a_17 stay in the odd lane: -17, never blend both formulas into one line.
