Passage Map
GMAT glossary · Verbal Reasoning
Definition
A brief record of each paragraph’s purpose and the passage’s overall logical structure.
Passage Map in plain English
Give each paragraph a short job label such as introduces dispute, presents evidence, or limits theory. The map should preserve the passage's movement so you can relocate an idea without rereading everything.
