Analysis at Various Prices (AVP)

Investment Banking Glossary

Analysis at Various Prices — sensitivity matrix that walks the offer premium across a range (commonly 25%-45%) and computes the implied TEV, TEV/NFY EBITDA, and P/NFY EPS at each price point. Used to triangulate where the negotiated price will land relative to trading and precedent multiples, and to identify the premium at which the deal becomes accretion-neutral.
