CV (Continuation Vehicle) in plain English
CV is just shorthand for "continuation vehicle." It's a setup a private-equity firm uses when it still loves a company it owns but the original fund is running out of time and needs to cash out its investors. The firm moves that company into a brand-new fund (the continuation vehicle), so investors who want their money back can exit while those who want to stay invested can roll over — like refinancing your house into a new mortgage so you can keep living in it longer.
