Disposition
U.S. Naturalization Test (2025 Standard) glossary · English
Definition
Outcome of a court case (bring the record).
Disposition in plain English
In a court case, the disposition is simply the final outcome — how the case ended (for example: found guilty, found not guilty, charges dropped, or dismissed). Think of it as the last line of the story that says how everything turned out. This word matters on the naturalization test because if you were ever arrested or charged, USCIS wants proof of how the case was resolved, so you should bring the official court record showing the disposition. Having that paperwork ready shows you're being honest and makes your interview go much more smoothly.
