The Mixture Alligation Scale
GMAT glossary · Quantitative Reasoning
Definition
Seesaw / alligation scale for blending two concentrations or prices to a target (same move as Balance Method).
The Mixture Alligation Scale in plain English
Same move as Mixture Alligation Scale (Balance Method / Alligation Seesaw): put the two pure values on the ends, the target in the middle, and cross-read opposite gaps as part counts. Micro-example: mix 10% and 40% to get 20%. Gaps 10 and 20 give ratio 1:2 strong to weak.
