Conjunction
GMAT glossary · GMAT
Definition
A compound statement “A and B” that is true only when both components are true.
Conjunction in plain English
A conjunction is the word 'and' doing its job: it glues two claims together into one, and that combined claim is true ONLY when BOTH pieces are true. If your friend says 'I'll bring chips and soda,' they've kept their word only if they show up with both, chips alone means they didn't deliver. So even a single false piece drags the whole 'A and B' statement down to false. It's a demanding word: everything has to check out.
