Definition
The price level with the highest volume in a Volume at Price histogram.
Point of Control (POC) in plain English
Imagine a whole trading day, and for every price the stock touched you tally how many shares changed hands there. The Point of Control is simply the price where the MOST business got done — where the biggest crowd bought and sold. It matters because a price that busy is like the popular table in the cafeteria: it's where buyers and sellers most agreed on 'fair,' so the market tends to drift back to it and often stalls or bounces around it. It's the single loudest price level in the whole session.
