Definition
Trading that responds to perceived value: buying below value or selling above it. Tends to keep price within established value areas.
Responsive activity in plain English
Responsive activity is trading by people who treat price like a bargain-hunter treats a store: they buy when something looks cheap and sell when it looks expensive. "Value" here means the price range where the market has recently agreed most business belongs, so responsive traders buy below that zone and sell above it. Because they're betting on a return to normal, their action tends to pull price back inside the established range rather than launch it somewhere new. It's the opposite of chasing a trend — it's fading the extremes, like snapping up winter coats only when they go on clearance.
