Harborline Transit is using a predictive approach for a new depot. The PM is asked to 'rebaseline' the project because of a 2-day delay in painting.
How should the PM respond?
- Submit a change request to the CCB to rebaseline immediately.
- Update the schedule baseline manually without a change request.
- Ask the team to work overtime to ensure the baseline never has to be looked at, after reviewing the current risk register entries, without revisiting the agreed prioritization criteria.
- Inform the stakeholder that rebaselining is for significant changes, not minor variances that don't affect the project's overall viability.
