Harborline Transit is using a predictive approach for a new depot. The PM is asked to 'rebaseline' the project because of a 2-day delay in painting.

How should the PM respond?

  1. Submit a change request to the CCB to rebaseline immediately.
  2. Update the schedule baseline manually without a change request.
  3. Ask the team to work overtime to ensure the baseline never has to be looked at, after reviewing the current risk register entries, without revisiting the agreed prioritization criteria.
  4. Inform the stakeholder that rebaselining is for significant changes, not minor variances that don't affect the project's overall viability.
