Wave Personality in plain English
Elliott Wave Theory says big price moves unfold in a repeating five-step pattern (waves 1 through 5), and "Wave Personality" is the idea that each of those five steps has its own recognizable mood — like chapters in a story that always feel the same way. Wave 3 is the crowd-favorite blockbuster: the strongest, fastest, most obvious surge, where everyone finally believes the trend. Wave 5 is the tired encore — price still pushes to a new high, but with less energy (that weakening is called "divergence": the price makes a new extreme while momentum quietly fades). Wave 2 tends to be a sharp, scary snapback, while Wave 4 is a messy, sideways, drawn-out pause — so knowing the personality helps you guess which wave you're likely in.
