Extreme Word Elimination
GMAT glossary · Verbal Reasoning
Definition
Drop absolute language the passage never earns on inference asks.
Extreme Word Elimination in plain English
Use Extreme Word Elimination on must-be-true and inference choices. Circle always, never, must, all, none, only. Keep the choice only if the passage uses matching strength. A nearly right choice fails when one absolute word overshoots the evidence.
