Bracket Profile
Volume Profile Analysis glossary · Volume Profile Technicals
Definition
A Volume Profile variant constructed over a user-defined bracket (e.g., multiple sessions, a consolidation range). Used for multi-day structural analysis.
Bracket Profile in plain English
Imagine stacking several days of trading on top of each other to see, across that whole stretch, which prices got traded the most and which barely got touched. A Bracket Profile does exactly that: you pick a chunk of time (a "bracket" you define yourself, like a week of sideways drifting), and it builds one combined map of where all the volume piled up. It's useful because a single day can be noisy, but zooming out to the bracket reveals the bigger structure — the price levels the market keeps defending or getting stuck at.
