Definition
A session whose Value Area is entirely above the prior session's VAH. Implies upward re-pricing of fair value.
Above value in plain English
Think of a market's "value area" as the price zone where most of the day's trading actually happened — where buyers and sellers agreed things were fairly priced. "Above value" means today the whole agreement zone sits higher than yesterday's — even the ceiling of yesterday's fair zone (its VAH, or Value Area High) is now below today's fair zone. It's the market collectively deciding, "Yesterday's prices were too cheap; the new normal is up here." Like a neighborhood where houses that sold for $300,000 last month are all trading at $340,000 now — the whole idea of a fair price has shifted upward.
