Market participant who opens and closes positions within the same session — scalpers, day traders, and intraday algorithms. Their activity drives intra-session rotation.
Day timeframe trader (DTF) in plain English
A day-timeframe trader is someone who gets in AND out of the market on the same day — they never hold a position overnight. Think of a food-truck vendor who buys ingredients in the morning and sells everything before packing up at night: they don't want inventory sitting around while they sleep. This crowd (fast day traders, scalpers grabbing tiny moves, and split-second computer algorithms) is what makes price wiggle up and down WITHIN a session, because they're constantly buying and re-selling. They care about the day's swings, not where price will be next month.
