Double-distribution trend day in plain English
Picture a busy food truck that parks at one corner all morning, then suddenly drives across town and parks at a new corner all afternoon — it did lots of business in two separate spots and almost none while driving between them. A double-distribution trend day is the market doing the same thing: price trades heavily inside one narrow zone, then makes a fast move to a new level and trades heavily there too, leaving a thin, lightly-traded gap in the middle. On a volume profile (a sideways bar chart showing how much trading happened at each price), this shows up as two fat 'humps' with a skinny waist between them. It tells you the day trended with real conviction, pausing to do business at two fair-value areas rather than one.
