Text-Bound Inference
GMAT glossary · GMAT
Definition
A conclusion supported by the passage without relying on outside knowledge.
Text-Bound Inference in plain English
Treat the passage as a closed evidence set. The right inference is the safest conclusion the text commits to, not a reasonable fact you happen to know from elsewhere.
