Venn Diagram
GMAT glossary · GMAT
Definition
A graphical representation showing relationships between sets using overlapping circles.
Venn Diagram in plain English
A Venn diagram is a simple picture that uses overlapping circles to show how groups relate to each other. Each circle is one group, and where two circles overlap represents the things that belong to BOTH groups at once. For example, one circle for 'students who play soccer' and another for 'students who play piano', the overlapping slice in the middle is the kids who do both. It's a fast visual way to see what's shared, what's separate, and how many fall into each part.
