Accommodation

Definition
Change in how you are tested for a disability (not what).
Accommodation in plain English
An accommodation is a change in HOW you take the test if you have a disability, without changing WHAT you have to know. For example, a person who is hard of hearing might get the questions in writing, or someone who can't hold a pen might answer out loud. The idea is fairness: you still have to prove you know the material, but the format bends so your disability isn't what holds you back, like giving someone glasses to read the same page everyone else reads.
