Definition
The pullback after JAC that retests the 'creek' from above — another LPS variant providing a long entry.
Backup to the Edge of the Creek (BUEC) in plain English
Picture a price chart where a wavy resistance line acts like a small stream (Wyckoff called it the "creek") that the price keeps failing to cross. When buyers finally shove price up and over it on strong volume, that leap is nicknamed JAC (Jump Across the Creek) — basically a breakout. A BUEC (Backup to the Edge of the Creek) is the little dip that often follows, where price drops back to touch that old line from ABOVE, checking that the old ceiling now holds as a floor. It's a favorite spot to buy, because if the floor holds, the up-move likely continues — like stepping back to make sure the ground behind you is solid before running ahead.
