Multi-Timeframe Confluence
Volume Price Analysis glossary · Volume Price Analysis
Definition
When VPA signals on two or more time frames (e.g., daily + 4-hour + 1-hour) agree on direction — the highest-conviction setup.
Multi-Timeframe Confluence in plain English
Confluence just means 'agreement,' like when several rivers flow together into one strong current. In trading, it's when the same buy-or-sell signal shows up on more than one time frame at once — for example the daily, the 4-hour, and the 1-hour charts all pointing the same way. When the short-, medium-, and long-term views all nod in agreement, your odds are far better than when only one chart says go. It's the difference between one friend recommending a movie and all three of them raving about it.
