Wide-Spread Down Bar (WSDB)

Definition
A down candle with a body that spans most of the bar's range; combined with high volume, confirms genuine selling conviction.
Wide-Spread Down Bar (WSDB) in plain English
A 'down bar' just means a period where the price closed lower than it opened, and the 'spread' is how far it traveled from top to bottom. A Wide-Spread Down Bar is a big, mostly-solid red candle — the price fell hard and closed near its lowest point, with little wick. On its own it's just a drop, but paired with high volume it tells you the selling was for real: tons of people were dumping the stock, not just a few. It's the difference between a store 'sale' with empty aisles versus one with a mob genuinely grabbing everything off the shelves — the crowd proves the move means business.
